Joan became a member of the Human Organization Science Institute team as secretary in 1986. She has been involved with Villanova Quality Improvement (VQI) since its inception, coordinating the suggestion system and offering direct support to all VQI teams and committees. Joan is the communication hub for OPTIR serving as Office Manager and supervising student workers. In addition, Joan types and formats all major reports and documents related to strategic planning, accreditation and VQI. For the past two years, Joan has been a member of the Executive Council of the National Consortium for Continuous Improvement in Higher Education, a professional organization dedicated to advancing excellence through effective organizational practices.

Joan graduated from John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls’ High School and has taught adult education courses in word process ng.
