“….this meant that Rich was staying after his work
hours, driving across campus and staying until the problems were
resolved. Carolann has consistently prepared me and my computer
for on-line teaching…. .Both have changed their work schedules to
accommodate my unexpected needs"

Linda Buonanno
Graduate School Office
…”consistently goes above and beyond to assist
faculty, staff, students and administrators in accomplishing the tasks
they wish to complete…. not part of her job description but she
volunteered to learn the on-line thesis submission system for Villanova
in order to facilitate the process for others…. when other Colleges
within Villanova were in need of using the system, Linda took the time
to meet with them and shared all of her information in order to make the
learning process a much easier one”..

Rob Watson
Law School
"Rob
Watson routinely does work after hours. He also does many
tasks that are outside the parameters of his job description….. He
is never far from his computer, even on his days off, and everyone has
come to expect nothing but timeliness and perfection from Rob. He
is truly an asset to the law school”

Louisa Ruggieri
A&S Internship Office
…. Luisa is always
willing to help wherever she can and tries to create solutions for
situations that don't have an answer. even though she is my secretary,
she still continues to help the Dean's office, train the new
coordinators in other offices and is the support for VCAN. Luisa
has taught herself everything there is to know in this position and has
actively seeked to improve the office. She is a remarkable woman,
bright and with a work ethic second to none.
I could
probably write pages and pages about her....but I truly hope you will
consider her for this award.”

Mary Quilter
Ethics
…
Mary is involved in many different aspects of University life, from the
Senate to assisting with all events involved academic processions such
as commencement and the St. Thomas of Villanova symposium. She is
active in liturgical ministry, and is often involved in service trips.
Her job is demanding, and yet she finds it within herself not only to be
involved in the university community but to go above and beyond what is
expected of her in the accomplishment of her work”

MaryLou Glenn
Engineering
There isn’t enough time or words that can truly dignify and express Mary
Lou Glenn’s character and integrity through this nomination; but I will
try my best and hope that for just once, Marylou is recognized, despite
her humbleness…Among
many different things, the two examples that I can think of is a staff
member in Development, where she worked last year, had a dying mother.
Mary Lou had everyone volunteer to bring in homemade soup so that the
woman would not have to worry about cooking. She also collected candy,
treats, body splash, breath mints, tissues, etc. for the elderly nuns at
Camilla
Hall….”

Nancy Carpenter
“Nancy
is extremely hard working, professional in her work, and a very caring
individual. She goes above and her duties to make sure that all the
tasks at hand are accomplished, example:
..assistance for projects, seminars, meetings, etc that would take
place outside the normal work hours and she be there willingly as needed
without thought of additional pay, or time off. ...We were notified of
his passing late of a Friday and the funeral was the next day. Nancy and
her husband took it upon themselves to travel to Washington, DC (at
their own expense) to attend the funeral so that our retiree would not
feel that her former department abandoned her in her time of need. They
did this at their own expense of time and money. . We really need people
like this who make Villanova the outstanding place it is to work
and go to school."
